Georges Regnauld, a witness of the Canadian landing at Bernières-sur-Mer on June 6, 1944, friend of Canadians and faithful friend to the Juno Beach Centre, recently donated to the museum numerous archival documents.
It is Manon Blandeau, an intern at the museum as part of the preparation of a Master 2 in Historical and cultural heritage studies, who has passed through this important donation to sort, classify, catalogue and integrate into the museum’s archive data base under the name ” Fonds Georges Regnauld”. Among the documents are Georges Regnauld’s witness accounts over the years of war and Liberation, as well as years of correspondence with Canadian veterans he has known in 1944 and their families.
A big thank you to Georges for these archives that will give wind for the sails of historians for a long time.
