Cairon and Vieux-Cairon, June 11 – July 9

Cairon is the rear area of the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders regiment. The regiment remains static there for almost a month, repelling multiple German counter-attacks. The nights are favorable for patrols to probe enemy lines. The regiment endures numerous mortar attacks and German sniper fire in the direction of Gruchy, Buron and Authie.
