Jay Anderson, teacher at Garth Webb Secondary School, after his first visit to the Juno Beach Centre and Garth Webb Esplanade: “Today changed me. I truly regret not having the opportunity to have met Garth Webb. If I was proud before today, of teaching at Garth Webb Secondary School in Oakville, I am humbled today. To see Garth Webb’s vision in person and then to walk in his shadow, off of the beach, through the streets to the very field where he faced the enemy for the first time, was humbling. As a Canadian, you owe it to yourself, to be here at the Juno Beach Centre, to feel, understand and honour that sacrifice.”
