A group of young councillors visiting the Juno Beach Centre

| April 14, 2016

Today, we gladly welcomed a group of 15 councillors from Ecully, near Lyon.

These 10-12 year old students were elected to the “Conseil Municipal des Jeunes” of their city for a year, a program that gives a place to the community’s youth allowing them to put freedom and action into practice. Many projects are created to foster these students’ civic education. The discovery of the D-Day landing beaches contributes to this education and we were happy that the Juno Beach Centre visit was a part of the program.

Please note that the group who stayed in Courseulles at “Esnèques” were transported in by public transport, thanks to Calvados “Bus Vert”.
