Alan Douglas Coulter was 24, born August 10, 1920. Alan was raised Baptist, worked as a clerk, single and lived in Toronto, Ontario, 147 Delaware avenue. Alan had 3 years of tech experience, his regimental number is B-66471, and Alan was also in the Queens Own Rifles 1941-1944 and was a rifleman. Alan was awarded, France-Germany star, Defense medal, war medal and Canadian volunteer service medal with clasp and the 1939-45 star. Alan was killed in action and was buried in white beach shore.
Alan Coulter, had no medical diseases, he was 5 foot 8 inches, brown eyes along with brown hair. Alan weighed 127 pounds, his vision was 20/20, hid development was good, with a fair complexion, and a girth expansion of 36 inches, and a range of 4 inches. Alan has a half an inch scar on his upper center of his forehead, and a supernumerary nipple 3 inches under his left nipple. His medical examination took place on April, 24, 1941.
Alan Douglas Coulter was in Toronto, Ontario, April 24, 1941 as a rifleman. He was taken on strength (T.O.S) in the second district. On the 21st of May, 1941 Alan was struck off strength (S.O.S). Later on that day Alan was taken on strength (T.O.S) and was taken to a training center (T.C), in North Bay, Ontario, and in the district deport. In 1941 on July 10th Alan was struck off strength (S.O.S) and transferred to the Queens Own Rifles. On the next day, Alan was taken on strength (T.O.S) as a queens own rifle in Camp Sussex. In Halifax, Nova Scotia on the 19th of July of 1914, Alan was struck off strength (S.O.S) and embarked to Europe. The next day he is overseas and taken on strength (T.O.S). On the 29th of that same month he disembarked in Gourock, Scotland. On June 1st to June 6th, 1944 Alan embarked.
On June 6th 1944, the troops silently filed in to their boats. At 700 hours, all hell breaks look, and gun fire begins to fill the beach. At 720 hours word says, that the D.D tanks are going to be behind schedule. The word only reached “C” coy; they were a few hundred yards off the beach. At 815 hours “A” coy and “B” coy reached the beach, and all ready “B” coy had a hard time. “B” coy was destroyed as the German 88mm, shot almost all the men down.
