The Juno Beach Centre’s Remembrance Day ceremony was very unique this year with the presence of 101-year-old LCol Ernest Côté, Canadian D-Day veteran in charge of Logistics with the headquarters of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division, along with Minister-Counsellor from the Canadian Embassy in Paris, Pierre Guimond, and Anne-Marie Phillipeaux, Deputy-Mayor of Courseulles-sur-Mer. Over 200 people attended, and we were honored to have Rugby Canada‘s men’s team, as well as one young Canadian veteran of the Afghanistan Var, and of course our local supporters, civilian and military alike. Following the ceremony, everyone gathered for a drink in the Centre to spend time with Ernest Côté, who was visiting the Centre for the 3rd time this year.
Thank you to everyone in attendance for making it such a special day.
