Today at the Juno Beach Centre, an impromptu tribute was paid by the Hamilton Children’s Choir with the assistance of the piper of the Black Watch Regiment of Canada Association to honour the Canadian soldier killed in a terrorist attack at the National War Memorial at the Canadian Parliament Buildings in Ottawa on Wednesday. Corporal Nathan Cirillo of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders was from their hometown of Hamilton, Ontario. The young Canadian singers were moved to honour Corporal Cirillo’s service to his country by singing on Juno Beach where sacrifices were paid by his predecessors.
Thank you for this beautiful tribute and for your visit.
We will remember him.
