The Juno Beach Centre is happy to receive “The Highland and Lowland Bands, The Royal Regiment of Scotland” for a free concert Wednesday, July 13 on the Garth Webb esplanade at 4:00 pm.
The Scottish band “The Highland Band, The Royal Regiment of Scotland” is a regimental band of volunteers, which was created nearly 50 years ago.
Their repertoire is vast: military marches, classical pieces for brass & wood, jazz, soul, big band, as well as more traditional Scottish music with bagpipes.
They participate in various events including very formal events in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen. The last concert in her presence took place in Edinburgh just before their tour in France this summer 2016. Their fellow musicians of “Lowland Band” will join them for their French tour.
“The Highland and Lowland Bands, The Royal Regiment of Scotland” will also performe in Brucourt on July 12 and at the Pegasus Memorial in Ranville on July 14.
The concert is free and open to all.
