The Timmins makes a donation

Thank you to the Timmins family for a wonderful visit and donation today!

In 2004, their father, Second World War veteran Victor Timmins returned to Normandy for the first and last time since taking part in the liberation in 1944 and 1945. He passed away soon after.

His sons decided to donate his medals to the Juno Beach Centre a few years later, and now they’ve returned to add even more to the story. They brought a squadron flag and Union Jack, some photos, pins and badges, and other various artefacts that are all part of Victor Timmins’ story.

We’re very grateful for the generosity of the Timmins family in sharing their family history with us!
