We were pleased to welcome 16 Beaverbrook Vimy Prize winners from Canada, Britain and France to the Juno Beach Centre this morning. The group is currently travelling throughout Europe to learn more about the intertwined history of our three countries during the First and Second World Wars.
They toured the museum and the Centre’s Atlantic Wall remnants with our guide Matt and finished with a moving ceremony on the beach. After reading the Commitment to Remember, each student shared a reflection on their experience before laying flowers on the sand.
A memorable experience for a group of motivated young people. Thank you for visiting and enjoy the rest of your trip!
