Bob Ingram visited the Juno Beach Centre with his wife Gayle. His father, Douglas Ingram, was Coxswain of LCIL 299, which Gilbert Alexander Milne shot on the famous photo of D-Day showing the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders going ashore in Bernières-sur-Mer. He can be seen on the very end of the bow and was wounded slightly during the landing. Douglas Ingram remained in the Navy retiring as a Lt-Commander after 30 of years service.
