A Conversation with Canadian D-Day Veteran Jim Parks

| November 11, 2020

The Juno Beach Centre and EF Educational Tours Canada were proud to partner to celebrate this year’s November 11th with a very special guest: D-Day veteran Jim Parks, a former rifleman with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles.

This rare opportunity gave teachers, students, cadets, and other youth across Canada the chance to ask a D-Day veteran about his experiences. The discussion features Jim’s memories of storming Juno Beach, the Battle of Normandy, his life as a Canadian soldier in the Second World War, and his many pilgrimages back to Normandy and to the Juno Beach Centre after the war!
