A Canadian Veteran and the Ultimate Canadian Pilgrimage

| February 9, 2017

Today, staff at the Juno Beach Centre happily welcomed Captain (ret’d) Percy Purpura, a Medical Corps veteran who served in the Canadian Forces during the Cold War and on Peacekeeping missions. Capt. Purpura has embarked on the “ultimate Canadian Pilgrimage,” travelling from Canada to France, visiting the Vimy Memorial and the Juno Beach Centre, both sites of major battles where Canadian’s fought courageously in the two world wars. Back in December, he also attended an evening reception held at Garth Webb Secondary School in Oakville, Ontario, showcasing the JBC’s Canadian travelling exhibition From Vimy to Juno: Canadians in France, 1914-1945

Thank you for your continued support Capt. Purpura, and best wishes for safe travel on the rest of your journey!
