👉 Recipe « Pouding chômeur» (Maple pudding) For 6.
Ingredients. Sauce: 1 ½ cups (375 ml) maple syrup, ¾ cups (180 ml) water, 2 teaspoons (8 g) butter (room temperature). Cake: 1 cup (120 g) all purpose flour, 1 ½ teaspoons (7 g) baking powder, ½ teaspoon (2 g) salt,
½ cup (100g) sugar, 1 tablespoon (15g) butter (room temperature), 1 egg, beaten, 1/3 cup (85 ml) milk, ½ cup (44 g) grated coconut.

Instructions: Mix the maple syrup and water in the saucepan. Bring it to a boil and remove from the stove. Add the butter and set aside. Measure the flour and add the baking powder and salt; mix well. Whisk the butter and sugar. Add the beaten egg and blend well. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir in the milk gradually. Stir until the mixture is uniform. Pour the mixture into a greased square pan (20 cm) and spread evenly. Pour the sauce over the cake mixture. Sprinkle with coconut. Cook at 350°F (180°C) for 35 minutes. Serve warm with custard or whipped cream.
