Last Thursday 34 hikers met at the Juno Beach Centre to start a 16 KM course which followed the footsteps of the Canadian forces on D-Day in 1944. The course started at the Centre and ended at Bény-sur-Mer, the location of the Canadian cemetery. Briefed by the Centre’s Program Manager, Marie-Eve, the participants embarked with a wealth of historical perspective on the what the Canadian soldiers would have experienced almost 70 years ago.
