Check out what our 2014 team had to say about their time at the JBC:

During my work experience at the Juno Beach Centre, I had the chance to meet people who lived through the war and the bombings that took place in 1944. One time, a lady exiting the museum took my arm. She was shaking a little bit and she asked me if I was Canadian. When I said yes, she looked me right in the eyes and thanked me. To be on the receiving hand of so much gratitude – there are no words. I felt so privileged and moved. Living in France and working at the Juno Beach Centre has been an experience I will never forget. — Caroline Desruisseaux

Working at the Juno Beach Centre has absolutely been a life-changing experience for me. Mere words cannot describe how much I feel I have grown as a person during my time here in Courseulles-sur-Mer. On a professional level, I feel much more well equipped to start my career having gained bilingual experience in the vibrant, challenging and exciting environment that is the Juno Beach Centre. — Leslie Jamieson

I am so thankful to have been temporarily exposed to a team of people who exert the kind of passion that I saw day in and day out at our museum. I experienced and witnessed how trying it is to successfully operate exhibitions, a business, and a memorial site all in one. There are invaluable things that I have seen here – things that I doubt other business co-op students with “more relevant” job positions have gotten to see. I’ve learned French, I’ve learned a lot about Canada’s contributions to the war, but most importantly, I’ve seen what it takes to do something extremely well. I am truly grateful for what I have learned during my time with the Juno Beach Centre. — Adam Deyell
