2014 Teacher Tour — Day 2: Puys and Dieppe

| July 29, 2014

In the afternoon of the second day of the 2014 Teacher Tour, the group travelled north from Saint Vaast to the small coastal village of Puys. Located 10 minutes outside of Dieppe, the rocky beach at Puys was the site of the eastern sector of the 1942 Raid on Dieppe.

Following a short discussion with Chris and Marie-Eve, the group headed into the town of Dieppe for a dinner and time to explore this historic town.

Tomorrow the group will follow in the footsteps of the Canadians who landed here in 1942. They’ll learn more about this ill-fated mission, before heading to Ranville to start the Normandy leg of the tour.
