New Exhibition: A History of the RCMP

| March 20, 2016

The Juno Beach Centre is proud to present a new temporary exhibition: “Royal Canadian Mounted Police: A Canadian Tradition” co-produced in partnership with Canada’s historic national police force.

The exhibition is comprised of photos, illustrations, and period sketches that portray the major role played by the RCMP in Canada’s foundation from the early days in the great Canadian North West, its participation during both world wars, and modern day.

Important historical moments and figures present the vast array of functions assumed by a national Police Force that has been and continues to be unique in character.

Curated by the RCMP’s Historical Collections Unit and the help of the RCMP’s British Columbia E Division, using carefully assembled texts and archival material from their rich collections, the exhibition is rich with traditional colours and symbols, guaranteed to transport visitors straight to the heart of Canada!
