From April to October (and by reservation throughout the year for groups) guided visits of Juno Park are available with a bilingual (English/French) Canadian guide. Visit the inside of the bunker

With the creation of Juno Park in 2004, the bunker located in front of the Juno Beach Centre was uncovered and its access was cleared.

In 2009, for the 65th anniversary, the town of Courseulles renovated the bunker (electrical work, levelling of the ground, the addition of stairs and railings) in order to integrate it into the guided tour of Juno Park.

In 2010, the bunker is being restored even further by adding a Second World War armoured door as well as some items that would have been found in the bunker back in 1944.

This rare bunker was a German observation post, used in the Atlantic Wall defence system. In 1944, it contained radio equipment that allowed its occupants to inform and coordinate with other bunkers in their defence of the beach. A machine gun was positioned in the tobruk on top of the bunker, and a steel dome protected the “look-out” (removed at the end of the 1970s). This bunker is an example of the German strategy to fortify the port of Courseulles.
