This room is dedicated
to the 42, 000 Canadian men and women who
died during the Second World War. Their
names appear one by one scrolling across
the ceiling to be remembered. It
is a sombre
room. You can sit and listen to recordings
of letters that were sent home over the
course
of the war. Peter and Madeleine conclude
their tour with an account of their family’s
experiences at the end of the war. See
the
display cases containing personal items
that survived the war carrying with them
stories
and memories of people and places not to
be forgotten. |
