In this room you will learn about the Canadian campaigns in Italy, Normandy, the Scheldt, and the Rhineland. Video montages projected onto the walls and interviews with veterans bring you closer to the actual events. As you walk around the room you can observe photographs, maps, models and artefact displays. Learn about the role of the auxiliary corps supporting the troops. Many Canadians served supporting roles in communications, medical care and engineering. Learn about the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion, the Canadian Flag and the First Nations’ active role in the war effort.
