Located between Arromanches and Pegasus Bridge on the very beach where the Canadians landed in June 1944, the Juno Beach Centre is the only Canadian museum on the D-Day landing beaches.

Thanks to the interactive and dynamic exhibit spaces designed for all ages, the Juno Beach Centre is an ideal location to help teach your students about the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy by taking a close look at the role played by the Canadians.

Guided by two fictional characters, Peter and Madeleine, young students can discover the history of Canada from the 1930s, the Battle of Normandy and on to contemporary Canada.

School groups visiting the Juno Beach Centre benefit from all the services imaginable provided by a modern museum, in both its conception and approach to commemorating historice events. The museum wants to ensure you spend an agreable and beneficial visit with your class by offering the following:

  • Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by a young bilingual Canadian guide.
  • A student worksheet (can be downloaded directly from our website: www.junobeach.org) + teacher answer key (available on demand).
  • A multi-purpose room is at your disposal free-of-charge for picnics, presentations (reservation required).
  • A picnic-style lunch can also be organized for your group.

All this added with the opportunity to visit a true to museum situated directly on a Canadian historic site, only steps from the beach…
