The visit was part of a 9-day tour of battlefields and museums in Belgium, France, and England. Our students were very moved and their experiences certainly brought WWI and WWII closer to them. Juno Beach and the Juno Beach Centre were two of the trip highlights. There were many great exhibits and the variety of them was appreciated. We would suggest more time on the beach during the beach tour.

When I was coming here, I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t know whether there would be a museum, memorial, or whether we would even be able to walk on the beach. The tour guide was amazing. She knew a lot and was clearly passionate about the subject. It was amazing to be able to walk on the sand where so many were killed. The movie [introduction film] was well thought out and it was interesting to see it from a soldier’s view. The museum was very informative and the quizzes [student questionnaire] made me actually read the information.

I had a good visit to the Juno Beach Centre. The info put forth was very interesting and the layout of the museum presented the info in an easy-to-follow and enjoyable manner. The many diagrams and maps were very explanatory. I would definitely come back again if I got the chance.
