It is an excellent experience for the students. Many of them don’t know very much about WWII, and don’t realize the sacrifices that were made by many Canadians that were approximately the same age as themselves. We have been to Paris, seen many cathedrals, the Loire valley castles, Saint-Malo, Mont Saint-Michel, etc. The Juno Beach Centre is very nice. The list of 45,000 soldiers killed in WWII would have had more impact in its own darker area.

As a Canadian high school student, this is a simply breath taking experience. I will leave here with a new appreciation for the sacrifices of our soldiers on D-Day. I’m very happy that there is a facility which can portray them and what they have done. This place makes me truly proud to be Canadian.
