It has been excellent to visit the center as part of our first day on the Normandy beaches. Our guide, Sébastien gave us a very clear introduction to the landings themselves and the students also enjoyed exploring the bunker and beach, as well as trying on uniforms. It was particularly good to have such helpful guides who spent a lot time talking to individual students.

It meant a lot to me because I am interested in history so I am aware of the sacrifice made. It was particularly personal because, being Jewish, the war was more than a clash of rival countries in my opinion. We saw the bunker and the beach. I will remember how ordinary the beach looked. The museum was good, and the interactive bits were fun but we had heard some of it elsewhere.
